The three-course meals, including seafood specialties and traditional desserts, receive consistent commendation for their taste and presentation. All the orders were fantastic—superb, very tasty, and fresh. However, the queue was quite long at that day, and the waiting area wasn’t well organized.
Well crafted menu made with the local fresh catch. There was attention to detail in all the dishes and the service was warm and kind. Well worth the wait, as they don’t take reservations. Can’t go wrong with their 3 course meal.
Cuchullin Restaurant was one of my favorite meals in Portree. They don't take reservations so we waited 30 minutes in the rain and it was totally worth it. We did the 3 course menu and I had the mussels, scallops, and sticky toffee pudding. All of the food was outstanding and the service was very friendly. I would definitely recommend having a meal at Cuchullin while in Portree.
The food, the service, and the prices were all great. We had huge portions of food for a very reasonable price. Our server, a young man, was patient, friendly, warm, and personable. The wife and I both ordered the 2 course dinner and loved every bite and every minute here.
Fantastic meal, fresh ingredients and great staff. This place was incredibly welcoming (unlike other places in Portree, unfortunately) with a lovely selection of local delicacies. I had the mussels, scallops and cheese plate which was delightful. My fiance had some other dishes including the sticky toffee pudding which was to die for! Absolutely recommend for a nice meal at a great price!
Local Scottish fine dining with fresh ingredients. Onion Brie tart and pan seared scallops and grilled trout were amazing!
An absolute gem—the best dining experience in Portree! Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. If you're planning to visit, make sure to book 1–2 months in advance, as there aren’t many restaurants in town and it fills up quickly. We enjoyed 5 outstanding dishes. Truly a must-visit spot for an unforgettable meal!
Lovely restaurant with a great ambiance and truly kind staff. I tried the fish and chips for the first time here and it was delicious. The mussels and the desserts were excellent too.
